The Nursing Leadership Development Program is designed to support new nurse leaders in successfully transitioning into leadership roles. This program builds essential leadership competencies, strengthens clinical readiness and operational decision-making, and promotes a culture of engagement, accountability, and patient-centered care.
Participants will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to lead teams effectively, navigate complex healthcare environments, and align department and unit goals with broader organizational priorities. Through this program, new leaders are equipped to drive performance, support team development, and contribute to improved patient and organizational outcomes.
Target Audience
- Newly promoted nurse managers or supervisors
- Charge nurses transitioning into formal leadership roles
- Emerging nurse leaders identified for succession planning
Learning Objectives
- Describe the basic roles and responsibilities of a nurse leader.
- Apply effective communication and teamwork skills in daily leadership situations.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient care and team performance.
